Hi, I’m Megan! I’ve been
designing and building websites for more than ten years. I’ve built a career in web development because it allows me to draw on my fine arts background and pursue my lifelong love of technology.
I studied painting at
Skidmore College, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art. I’ve designed and developed websites at Skidmore College, Siren Interactive, and in the Web Services department at The University of Chicago. I started my own business in 2008.
I strive to learn, grow, and stay on top of this evolving field. I’m a member of the local
Small Business Advocacy Council and the national Freelancer’s Union. I enjoy attending the Creative Freelancer Conference and An Event Apart.
When I’m not at my computer, I enjoy movies, music, sewing, gadgets, and
pizza (and tacos). Core Values:
I'm here when you need me.
You can trust me to tell you the truth.
I listen to my clients and help them figure out what they need.
I believe in to-do lists, calendars, and meeting deadlines.
I enjoy training my clients to maintain their own websites with ease and confidence.
You are unique! Your website should be, too.
I’m easy to talk to and fun to work with.
I fear that my experience of working with Megan has spoiled me for all my future encounters with tech professionals. For someone like myself—who has very little knowledge of what goes on “behind the curtain” —talking to people who work with the web can be like going to the doctor: I cannot help but feel a little bit scared, intimidated, and vulnerable. Not so with Megan. She explained things in such a way that I felt real agency in how my ideas were being brought to life. She managed to give my site a real personality—one that not only accurately announces my intentions at a glance, but creates a human connection with the visitor. Hire Megan to redesign your own website, because she will make you look like the best version of yourself.
