Password Managers

Having trouble keeping track of all your computer passwords? Instead of covering your desk with post-it notes, try a password manager. These programs store all your passwords in one place. If you don’t have one, check with your Internet Service Provider (Comcast, AT&T, RCN) and see if one is included with your internet service.

If not, here are several highly rated (and free) programs you can try:

Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware
Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition
Avast! Free Antivirus
AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition

Take out the Trash

Take out the Trash

Running out of hard drive space on your computer? Don’t forget to empty your trash! Mac users: Go to the Dock (the bar at the bottom of your screen), click on the Trash icon and choose Empty Trash. PC users: Find the Recycle Bin on your desktop. Right-click and choose Empty Recycle Bin. Remember, you cannot get these files back, so it doesn’t hurt to check what’s in the trash first. Just double-click on the icon to see what’s inside.
