Everyone uses Google to search the web. But did you know you can perform special kinds of Google searches to find movie showings, weather reports, and even airline departure information?

Google search the following examples (the un-bolded text) to see what you can do.

  • Definition of a word - define: awesome
  • Search for a specific phrase - “website design”
  • Search the white pages - phonebook: joe smith
  • Search movie listings - movie: 60622
  • Local weather - weather: 60622
  • Translate a word - translate: bonjour
  • Look up the time - time: chicago
  • Convert - 10.5 cm in inches
  • Currency - 150 GBP in USD
  • Airline info - American Airlines 18
  • Search a specific site for a term - site:megancoleman.com “website”
