Tech Tips for Non-Technical People
Non-technical people need tech tips, too! Here are some tricks (mostly Mac) for making the most out of online resources and technology. Have a question? Fill out the suggestion form below and I might create a tip just for you.
Remove, Reorder, or Combine Pages of a PDF in Preview
Open your PDF document in Apple Preview. If the sidebar isn’t showing, choose View > Sidebar > Show Sidebar or press CMD-SHIFT-D. Make sure it’s showing thumbnails (choose View > Sidebar > Thumbnails). To delete a page, just select the thumbnail and hit delete. To reorder pages, drag them up or down in the sidebar. To add pages from another PDF, open that PDF and drag the page’s thumbnail to the sidebar of the other PDF.
Return to your track in iTunes
While listening to music in iTunes, you may decide to look through your library or browse the iTunes Store. To get back to your song/playlist quickly, just hit CMD-L (Mac) or CTRL-L (PC) and it will take you back to where you started.

Did you know you don’t have to navigate to the iTunes window in order to play, pause or advance a track? Just right-click on the iTunes icon in your dock and you’ll see several options to control playback.
