What I Do
With each project, I work closely with my client to plan for every possibility and ensure the resulting website works great from the start. I offer a wide range of web design and development services; when a project calls for collaboration with another service provider (like a graphic designer or copywriter), I’m able to call on a large network of local creatives to join the team and craft a solution.
Design Services:
- Custom interface design (websites/email newsletters)
- Integration with existing print materials and other media
Development Services:
- HTML5/CSS3 Coding
- Standards compliance (W3C)

- Content management systems (CMS) and blog development (Wordpress/Perch/Expression Engine)
- Training for clients to self-maintain sites
- Contact and sign-up forms
- PayPal integration
- Statistics and tracking (with Google Analytics)
- RSS subscription setup
- Event calendars
- Email newsletter setup/integration
How I Work
Ever wonder how the website collaboration process works? I tailor each project to my client’s needs, but the key phases are:
Initial discussion and proposal: First, we’ll have a conversation about your needs, message, audience, and budget, and determine the timeframe for launching your site. Then I’ll create a proposal that spells out each step, services, pricing and a project schedule.
Develop architecture and create wireframes: I’ll design a plan for organizing your content and shaping each area of the website, and if necessary, provide wireframes–visual plans that provide an overview of the website’s functionality and organization.
Design and content creation: You’ll write the site’s content on your own, or with the help of a copywriter (I can recommend experienced, trusted creatives to join the team). At the same time, I’ll design the look and feel of the site. We’ll work together to keep the project flowing.
Development: Everything comes together! I merge your content with my design, making it beautiful and testing along the way, to create your website. This phase may include one or two rounds of changes.
Training: I’ll walk you through the maintenance of the site (if you’ll be doing it yourself), showing you how to update or add information, and how to organize any data your site collects from visitors. I’ll also help you set up Google Analytics so you can track your site’s impact.
Launch: Your website goes live and final tweaks are made as necessary to ensure your project works just like we planned. Celebrate!
